I got the 5628 by using the miles earned calculator on the Virgin website. You enter your departure airport and destination airport and what class of service and it spits out a number. This number was spit out by that program.

As for why I didn't take the Delta non-stop, well because it doesn't fly on Tuesdays, which is when I needed to leave.

Exactly, the G fare is not listed, because it does not earn anything, which is the whole point of this thread.
