I was on an AONEX with several BA F sectors and my husband decided to join me long after I’d booked. Managed to book him a last minute DONEX.
2 Pursers saw us board together then separate. On one sector the Purser escorted him up to F stating his seat had been changed prior to take off and on the second sector he was moved once we levelled out.
Neither of us asked and it was completely unexpected. We’re polite, always say please and thank you and tend to engage with the crew.
