Many years ago, on the way back from somewhere East to London, in the days when they made several stops in the Middle East to pick up some more passengers, I was sitting in what passed as business class in those days. I was sitting next to a man, who was travelling on business where his seat was obviously paid for by the company. He had a wife of Far East origin, who was seated in coach. She came up to speak with him several times. Just before one of the Middle East stops the flight attendant came to our seats and said that they were picking up additional passengers at the next stop and needed our seats and would we both be happy to move to First Class. Of course we would! I realized after that that 'First Class is the only way to fly' -which I have never done since! However, the funny part is that the fellow next to me's wife wanted to come up to First Class and speak to her husband, but there was no way that the crew were going to allow that!
