Are you gold with NW or CO? If so, just call the elite line and have them put your WP number in. I have only flown NW metal on a DL code one time (on a one way ticket) and it worked just fine. I actually think I was just silver at the time and I still got upgraded. Once they put it in just ask them to verify that it is showing your status.
