The ballistic nylon doesn’t really scratch or scuff and mostly anything can be cleaned with some soap and a damp rag.
There are some Tumis that I like very much and definitely more functional, at least for my purposes, than the Rimowas. But, I just can't get over the price for the materials and build quality of their bags. Not that I'm a luggage aficionado or anything like that, but I'm not sure why I'd pay more for a Tumi over, say, a TravelPro--they look the same to me.

I'm very abusive on luggage, roll them at a brisk pace and will generally wear them down within several years. For me, these are, more or less, disposable items, and I'm not really sure how to make them last or keep them reasonable unblemished. I mean, it's luggage and I assume they're supposed to get banged up, worn and wheels break?
