What worked last time was calling ChaseUR and requesting my Hilton booking number. That was very difficult. I have not had any luck getting my booking number from Marriott. I will not be using Chase points for anything substanial ever except maybe to transfer to a partner if there is a bonus or use them for cash. Stupid stupid redemption program.

That said we did get an upgrade from Hilton when I put the booking in my name with my HH number.
