Well, our LHR-WAW just got cancelled. My wife’s mother is very ill and we are heading out there in case she doesn’t improve; my wife is doing weekend night shifts (she’s a hospital doctor) and we were meant to go after she finishes on Monday, so this was the only flight in the day that we can make.
The Website isn’t giving us any options yet. I’m on hold to talk to BA but not optimistic that “an agent will be with us shortly” (especially as I have now dropped down to *shudder* bronze!).
Can someone confirm what our rights are please? Can we only move to a Tuesday flight? Are we able to insist on being taken on another carrier on the Monday if possible? Could we claim a refund plus 400 Euro compensation (does that apply?) and use it to buy an expensive ticket with another carrier?
