As I understand it—which could be wrong—is that you cannot go straight from MC into D1, bypassing PS. If you purchase MC and PS is full, you would be waitlisted for PS. If PS never opens up for whatever reason, you would not clear into PS and, therefore, not be eligible to waitlist/clear into D1 at T-24. You have to be confirmed into PS before you can waitlist for D1.

Anything different i.e. a deviation from stated rules, would be entirety up to the gate agent if even possible at all. I certainly wouldn't count on it. Would love to be wrong on this. If anyone has any differing verified info, please let us know.
