- Properties with a lot of charm and character;
- a welcome addition in areas where IHG has little presence (notably Spain, Italy, Greece);
- particularly attentive service,
- upgrades (always given to me, except when the hotel is full) and GoldSmith Extras for Ambassador and Royal Ambassador guests (usually a glass of wine, but sometimes a dish, a discount on the spa)

Minus :
- It should be noted that the price is often very high, although there are some exceptions;
- in addition, breakfast and meals are often quite expensive;
- only the price paid via IHG.com is included in the points earned (all extras paid afterwards do not generate points);
- only some of the Mr and Mrs Smith hotels are partners with IHG;
- some hotels disappear after having been present in the directory (there are no more hotels in Stockholm, in Havana, only one hotel in Athens whereas two were referenced, etc.).
