Does Southwest let Elite/Non-Elite members change their same day flight to a nearby airport? For example, I got a flight from SJC to SAN, can I change the departure airport to OAK or SFO during check in? Do you have to call to make this change?

I think this question was asked 10 years ago here, but I’m wondering if things have changed. I know AS allows elite members to change the flight to another nearby airport after checking in.
