If there were to be a cancellation of a reward flight booked via BAEC, BA would endeavour to fully refund you, reschedule or reroute you. They usually try to only permit rescheduling where there is award availability though theoretically, as per UK/EC261, you should be rerouted or rebooked regardless of this, though this may require HUCA a couple of times to achieve the desired result.
