After nearly 2hrs on hold, spoke to a shockingly unhelpful person at JAL. He kept trying to tell me that JL 735/736 on December 4th is zeroed out because its full. He didn't seem to understand that all JL flights to and from HK are zeroed out with the date range I searched, and that this likely means a schedule change or cancellation is coming.

As often the case, seems the FT crowd knows more than the airline itself.. so.. do any of the JAL experts know what is happening with JL 735/736 in November/December this year?
