I agree that an actual glass offers a superior drinking experience, for any kind of beverage. Unless it’s a really low end hotel, I have never had a problem just asking for a glass from the restaurant/bar, same with real coffee mugs instead of the miniature paper trash cans in the rooms.

If you have concerns about cleanliness, just wash it yourself. It’s not that hard and actually takes less time than making a post on FT.
