but the point is….why did the proper glasses go away and why haven’t they come back?
I remember a hidden camera 20/20 special on hotels years ago showing the cleaning woman cleaning the glasses with Windex and putting it back, right after wiping down the mirror with the same rag. You want to drink from that glass? What if the person before you used it as a toothbrush holder and it looked clean so it wasn't replaced, you cool with that?
In reality though they probably went away because they went missing, broke and/or were just too annoying to clean and put back. Plastic cups are much easier. I for one much prefer the individually wrapped cups, since I know they are clean!
