Here we are again on the update rollercoaster:

The trip is now fully booked with the expectation of at the least being able to secure a visa and entry via a Japanese tour operator. I have some cautious optimism now having seen reports that folks are able to start entering again. Hopefully the shackles will fully drop at some point between now and January but we're going to make a go of it.

I do have the bones of a trip to Bavaria booked as well just in case but all easily refunded with points.

I haven't managed to confirm if the Hokkaido Snow Festival is actually going this year but if it is we should be in Hokkaido within the predicted date range.
