Exactly. The current crop of fares expire on 15th Dec and theafter many routes are at much higher fares, therefore making LIS no longer attractive for that purpose. A flight from LIS taken before 15th Dec, gicves a longhaul ticket that can be used up to mid December 2005. Therefore a trip to and from LIS before that date is a hedging / futures transaction (hopefully without the risk !).
