The -9 is fitted with Collins Super Diamond seats which you may already be familiar with as this model is used in some shape or form by BA, AA, QR amongst many other airlines in a 1-2-1 reverse herringbone config.
The -8 is more unique, with Stelia Equinox seats arranged in a 2-2-2 config. The seats being constructed as pairs are good for couples. There is an unorthodox flat bed arrangement however. When converted to beds, the A, D, and I think the K seats lay flat at a higher plane above the floor than the neighbouring C, F, and H seats. The logic behind this contortion is improve space utilisation at the footwell end of the seat.
The photo below by Jason Rabinowitz will give you a better idea of the Equinox footwell relationships.

Have you flown this configuration? Is there a general consensus on which side is preferred?
