I was trying to do the same on Iberia and couldn't even begin the process. The only reason for doing it is to reactivate the validity of my Avios with IB Plus. I know this isn't the Iberia forum, but do they use the same platform as BA for this?
I have been having the same problem with my IB+ account. I have been unable to access the Avios purchase page since my account became inactive once it crossed the 36-month inactivity threshold. I think the only way around that is to reactivate the account first by earning Avios via flight credits, e-store purchases, and the like.
