I'd guess that cashier reacted more to your mood (tense, self-conscious) than multi-swiping. Perhaps you may feel less paranoid if you ignore all details that are irrelevant, and focus on your task --> "I'd like to buy a MO for $$$, I'll pay in 2 increments, have a nice day".
