It looks like I'll be going back to flying 100k+ miles a year for work. I expect to do 8-10 trips business trips a year to Europe. I didn't fly at all during covid and I lost all my status, so now need to decide where to earn my miles. Previously it was all TG as they flew direct to where I needed to go for work. However, I was never able to really use all my miles and upgrades, availability was never good enough, and TG doesn't service USA where I'd go for personal. My 2nd choice is Qatar, much better product, it goes flies to where I want to go for leisure, but all my work trips to Europe will require a layover on DOH, and it seems like awards are easier to get? My plan is to hit gold on both by the end of the year, afterwards who to focus on for platinum?
