I checked into a Fairfield Inn today in Norfolk Virginia. At check in, I asked for one or two extra bath towels and was told that since the room already had three as part of it set up, I would not be given extra towels.

The manager told me they were just following recent standards adopted by Marriott effective July 1 concerning housekeeping. If I wanted more towels I guess I am to bring down the dirty ones in a basket. Has anyone heard of this policy or run into this before?
