How do you know all the disappearing seats are upgrades and not people buying F?
Even if they are upgrades, there could be 10 DMs but they only opened 4 seats worth of upgrade inventory at the 5-day window so you're still at least 7th in line, etc.

A Sunday ATL-FLL flight. Mid-day though, not late afternoon with all the people flying home. Plus, a Sunday is leisure flying... just seems odd that a Platinum doesn't get an upgrade on this flight.
A lot of people have been buying F since travel rebounded. "I didn't get an upgrade" isn't necessarily due to nefarious reasons.
