Because the ticket is on 016 stock, you will be able to earn miles with United based on the cost of the ticket. Assuming you have no status with United, you get 5x the fare in miles. So a $4000 airfare nets 20000 miles.
If you credit it elsewhere, it will be calculated based on distance + fare class bonus. The total trip distance is roughly 12000 miles. So a 1.5 or 2x multiplier gets you 18k or 24k miles. So you need to know your trip cost to see whether UA or a different partner is better.
With that said, Mile redemption rates are not created equal. What AC or TAP will give you for 20k miles is different. So it’s not enough to only know who gives you the most miles but who gives you the best value for the type of redemption you’re looking for.
As a general thought, if you buy business class fares UA will be a good program because you earn what you spend. They also make mile redemption easy with online tools.
