Understood, and disappointing. I've flown 6 long haul flights this year - SYD, LHR (twice). 3 legs cleared at booking, 3 legs cleared from waitlist. Last week EWR-LAX cleared both directions, and I aim to visit GRU in Oct looking for PZ to clear also. 1k. I'm yet to sit in Y, even with the gambles this year.
BA is good if availability is there, but their taxes and the chance of old CW kill it for me. YMMV.
