In the other thread recently someone has cited by talking to AY call centre they've been able to get the change they need, if armed with detail around the flights you wish to change to *however* this was for an AY award seat, not a partner one.
(My situation is a QF award seat on an AY flight).
Live chat hasn't been very fruitful so I am going to call to see if I can get someone kinder / willing to try to help. I can see in my QF ticket that QF have "requested" the flights I want, there is revenue availability (J9 C9 D9 R9), just the elusive U bucket hasn't been re-added!
Good luck. I just received another message from AY saying my outbound flight has changed, too, this time to a flight over a day later, so these changes would chop over two days off my trip.
The direct HEL-ORD is only flying every other day next spring/summer, if not sooner.
