Apologies if the answer to this question appears somewhere already -- I searched against "redeposit" and "cancel" in this thread but didn't come up with anything.
Question -- I am considering canceling a revenue Latitude ticket (LHR-YUL-LGA + DEN-YUL-LHR) with confirmed eUpgrades for all four segments. How soon after doing so would I see the eUpgrades redeposited to my account? Would it make a difference if I cancel on the website or via a call agent?

Looking at a Latitude revenue DEN-YUL-LHR flight (1072, 864) on Dec 12. Website shows "you will be waitlisted" for this -- and every other flight option on that day.
But ExpertFlyer shows R=3 and R=5, respectively, for both flights.
Which can I believe?
