What’s the verdict on a hotel (not resort) offering late checkout for a guest in a suite but asking them to move to a standard room after the normal checkout time—within T&Cs or not? Any difference if the suite was booked/paid by cash, TSU, or complimentary upgrade?

IMO forcing a guest to change rooms halfway through the day dilutes the benefit.
