technically the change that happened last night japan time, as everyone seems to understand it, is that you still need to be on an approved package tour from a tour company, just no longer requiring a guide to watch everything you do. That's kinda morphed in to, you need an itinerary approved through a tour company, which you send them and they stamp it. JGA is sending a pre-stamped document where you fill your own "tour" out. The thing is, nowhere on JGA's application or the MOFA eVisa system asks you for that itinerary, so I'm filling mine out in case the request comes through while passing through immigration so I have something to show them (assuming this whole charade isn't dropped before then).
