I agree with MSP. I have not looked at bereavement fares for a long time. In the past, they were like 70% off of "regular" unrestricted fares (discount and not a specific published fare). With so many discount fares out there these days, that isn't generally a good value. Again, in the past there were somewhat capacity controlled (M class I believe) and could only be booked 3 days or less before the service. Documentation was required to substantiate the fare. It also is limited to family members, no friends or relatives of friends. If you already have a restrictive ticket, you likely cannot turn the remaining ticket into a bereavement fare.
