I'm in Europe on multiple trips for about 50 of the next 110 days. Over the past few weeks both my parents' health has simultaneously nosedived and the worst of the two is down to 2-6 months. The other will most likely pass a few days (or even hours) later.
I looked through
DL's bereavement page (just in case) and under the terms and conditions at the bottom see the following:
- Ticketing penalties are waived, however, fare differences may still apply
- International tickets are subject to additional restrictions
- Refunds are permitted only on unrestricted bereavement tickets
1: These are all D1 fares, so I'm assuming the fare differences would apply for the insofar unused return legs yea? In the case of multi city tickets, I'd just take the ecredits on the unused legs and book a convenient return?
2: What are the "additional restrictions" for international travel and how do they apply here? The site isn't specific about if this is for RT bereavement travel or if it includes returning home but I would assume it does apply to both situations - but what are the restrictions?
3: What is an unrestricted bereavement ticket?
