Stayed one night at the TPS Downtown last week. It was by far the most affordable option for a last-minute booking. Other than being an older property redeveloped into a hotel that retains unusually high ceilings on every floor, this is a standard TPS.
Room booked was a queen studio. I got Room 201 at the end of the hall facing Houston St. It was a quiet Monday, and didn't hear any noise inside or out. Room was clean and functional, with reasonably new kitchen appliances.
Breakfast room in the basement is spacious, with standard hot offerings (biscuits, potatoes, pre-fab egg discs) + waffle maker, cereals, bagels, scones. Fitness center, also in the basement, was well-kept and clean.
