I don't care how much my adult children and former IT major wife sneer at me. I will continue to check in as early as possible on a real computer and hit "print boarding pass". Maybe twice. I've gotten through TSA gates on paper copies when the airline systems were down at the airport and nobody could check in there. I've boarded flights at least two or three times when the scanners were down but they still boarded anyone with paper copies. Slept in a hotel once instead of my car because I had a paper copy and the hotel wasn't believing anybody who didn't (the hotel was not very good. But it had a real bed and running water. Neither of which are found on a Chevrolet).
I really do thank you for sharing your situation. I need to go twist my wife's arm to read it. I'll probably print it out first. Just for effect.
AGREE!! Paper always--and Phone /app as a back up.
