Thanks cws. I really appreciate that - excellent as always!

I think I was (and would still be) confused that the BA e-ticket specifically set out that that the hand baggage allowance was subject to Aer Lingus policies. So reading up on those policies seemed sensible. But it seems that I was over-thinking.
