I do need to caveat that NH can only be redeemed RT (95K), one way isn't possible. Also availability is very scarce and you often have to book almost 1 year ahead to get your ideal flight without getting wait-listed. But if your schedule is flexible and concrete once booked, I'd also recommend putting miles on NH.
AmEx isn't the only source of getting NH miles, in the last 5 years I flew PR's cheap TPE-MNL-YYZ J fares (under $2000 RT) and put them in NH as well.
