Just had a 3 night stay at Conrad Maldives on points redemption (60k per night) last week (first week of Sep)
Was told occupancy was only 29%. Redeemed for sunrise overwater villa, then negotiated an upgrade to sunset overwater villa for U$70 per night (inclusive of taxes and service charge). Upgrade to superior water villa would’ve been US$170
As a note, sunset overwater villa don’t directly face the sunset as the fences against next villa block the view, but I thought the price was reasonable for a bigger plunge pool
Checked out superior water villa, although slightly bigger room the patio was smaller, so didn’t feel worthwhile to upgrade actually
Gold and Diamond have access to happy hour at Vilu Italian Restaurant from 4-5PM, but only get one small plate of canapés without refill
