Both silver and gold get access to AA's lounges, Admirals' club and Flagship Lounges. If you start from LAX, Gold will get you in to the QF F lounge (best lounge on the whole US system IMHO). You can pick a seat for free, but I believe main cabin extra was removed as a benefit for OWE a few years back.
Finally you can check in at the priority/first line.
BA Silvers and BA Golds can select MCE seats for free at booking. That benefit applies to OWS and OWE members of some -- but not all -- oneworld frequent-flyer programs.
An Economy redemption on AA domestic (U.S.) and some international routes does
not include one free checked bag. But all OWS members get two free checked bags on those routes; all OWE members get three. In this regard, AA goes beyond what oneworld requires.
