Considering EVA Infinity MileageLands
Goal: Award EVA flights in PE or J from IAH-TPE
Whom: My mom (and brother/family) live in Houston and we do like to go to TPE every 1-2 years. Mom doesn't fly much otherwise, brother does some domestic travel on UA (general member).
Everyone has had UA Mileage Plus but of course it's not the best for redemption and on EVA it's hard to get beyond an award coach ticket.
Earning: We would primarily be earning points on US based credit card spend (Like Citi and/or Capital One). My mom does have Taiwan based banks, any experience with one of those earning structures? Saw there was an AMEX Plat....
Alternatives: Seems based on review sites that Air Canada and Avianca have good receptions to Star Alliance partners, though at the moment don't have anything with the same dates.
Seems like EVA's program is pretty good for redemption and was considering credit cards that can transfer into EVA's program. Seems the New Years period has tickets at PE 120k and J 160k
Any thoughts? Concerns?
