IC - San Francisco

IC San Francisco - July - 7 night stay - 4 using cash, 2 using BOGOF and 1 for cash

This was my 3rd stay at the hotel and the 2nd this year. I'm a Diamond Ambassadore

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?

King Bed Premier View - upgraded to Corner View - app was updated a couple of days in advance to show this

How are the rooms?

Fine. Perhaps a little dated but clean etc. Much prefer an empty mini bar fridge so I can use it myself!

How is the exec. lounge?

Thought it was good.. Hadn't booked a club room / rate but was offered it on arrival. I thought it would be (and it was taking the evening presentation into account) a better proposition than taking the Diamond breakfast so accepted it with grace! Nice selection of food on offer. For the evening presentaion there was an Asian guy on duty who was friendly and checking up on people and offering drinks top ups etc

What was good and what was bad?

Good - Being offered club access! 4PM checkout offered when checking in. Had an issue with the curtains not closing properly and that was remedied the same day. In fact on reporting it the receptionist asked if I wanted to move rooms.

Bad - Some people feel the need to just be loud in the bar. This wasn't general chatter but actual shouting I could hear at the entrance! Also seemed to be a couple of functions during my stay and I could hear lound music even on the 27th Floor. As I was going out and it had stopped by the time I returned I let it go.

Value for $ or Priority Club Points? Would you return?

Yes thought it was good value especially with the BOGOF,

Total cost was $2,000. However the $/£ isn't good at the moment. When I booked it would have cost £ 1,527 if I'd paid in advance, when I paid it was £ 1,625 and using todays spot rate it would have been £ 1,740.
