Good evening, I’ve just landed at ATL on an EDI-LHR-ATL-MIA-LIR flight. Looks like a whole container of bags is missing based off number of people waiting. Went to go and put a claim on for mine and all my bag tags just have the barcode 0125 on with no suffix or individual bag number.

The agent made a mistake and binned then reprinted tags this morning. I assume that’s where issue came and that the PNR actually has real tags inside it - however the bags themselves would have had the same empty barcodes that I have.

Is there any chance the bags got loaded and manually resolved en-route at EDI when they failed the first scan (PNR and passenger name are correct on it and airports, etc.) or are they likely dat somewhere in EDI still.

trying to work out whether there’s any chance of even trying to sort this mess out whilst away or just not bother if they’re likely to be in EDI
