Any other recommendation? I’m not necessarily looking for Michelin stars!
Any other non culinary tips also appreciated!
For traditional cuisine, La Montanara on Via Augusto Righi (more or less center of town) is very good. As a bonus, it’s very near the spots where you can glimpse the old canal system off Via Piella, Via Oberdan, and Via Malcontenti.
For a pizza/brewpub scene, go to Ranzani 13. Note: the address is a bit misleading, as the restaurant isn’t on the main road (Via Ranzani), but on the other side of the city block on the side street (confusingly, also Via Ranzani). Google Maps is your friend here.
On the non-culinary front, you’re a short train ride from Ravenna and its astonishing collection of mosaics. Well worth a visit if time allows & you haven’t been before. (Honestly, worth revisiting even if you have. The mis-named Mausoleum of Galla Placidia just by itself would justify a trip—and it’s really the tip of the iceberg.)
