Realistically no, and at LHR it would be unlikely to shut up more than 10 minutes to departure. Bus gates they do try to shut at 20 minutes to departure and I have seen some hardline decisions taken at 19 minutes, even though the bus hadn't moved. LGW may be a bit sharper. The one place with an unfortunate reputation for early close down is LIS.
