Wouldn't the $700 copay + 50,000 miles r/t upgrade from the $890 O fare be just for the next cabin of service, i.e. book into premium economy, not J? Since P can be booked directly for $1,840, that's probably not worth using miles for for a modest cash savings, but I might be overlooking something.
