I booked it yesterday at 1 p.m. First thing this morning I realized I can't use that flight and want to cancel it and get back my Avios and taxes. There should be no fees for canceling within 24 hours of booking. I tried to cancel online and it said I would have to take a future travel voucher. I don't want that but I clicked on it anyway, hoping I could straighten out the problem later, but at least documenting I tried to cancel within 24 hrs. Almost instantly got an e-mail saying the booking is not eligible for a voucher, but not giving any further instructions. I then looked at Manage My Booking and the reservation is still showing as active. I tried calling BA today and stayed on the line for an hour listening to the music. What can I do to get this canceled and refunded with no fees ?? I'm in the U.S. I called 800-452-1201 and selected the option to cancel a reward booking. Is that the best number to call for this? Are there that many people calling to cancel an award booking that an hour on the line could not get me to an agent? Why couldn't this be canceled online ? BA just has to be better than this. HELP !!
There is some wriggle room on the 24 hour limit, but people are clearly getting through eventually, we see enough comments in other posts about that. By all means try Chat and Twitter Direct Message (after Following), and take some screenshots of your efforts, you can also send in a "Something else" webform to
