I was in Mercure Sukhumvit 11 about half a dozen times precovid and last time in april 22, when the lounge was not yet reopened and used for breakfast.

with Platinum status I usually got an upgrade from basic to executive room (which is also much more spacious and has better furniture) and only one time to the suite

as for the free snacks in the lounge, I do not expect more for this price and level of a hotel. Of course not comparable to what they offer in the nearby Sofitel Sukhumvit or in SO at Lumpini. But it is on par with Pullman G, which is actually positioned at a much higher level than the Mercure and also comes at a higher price. And in addition in Mercure the lounge is much less crowded than at Pullman G, where they open the lounge not only to status or executive guest, but to many people staying on a package...
