Mask rules seem to be bonkers flying to Spain, with different rules observed by different airlines and to different destinations. Today to Malaga on BA we were told we had to wear masks on the flight and when leaving the aircraft because of rules in Spain. However once in the airport hardly anyone was wearing them. On BA it seems to be mandatory, but on Ryanair there was no mention....nor seemingly on Wizzair. Madness!!
After booking flights to MIA on IB on a terrific PE flash fare a few weeks ago, I painfully realized that Spain is probably the only country left in the EU still to require face masks on all flights into/out of the country. So yes, unfortunately masks are mandatory on all flights to/from Spain, and it sounds like Ryanair, etc are in breach of Spanish law. BTW I don't think masks are currently required in airports.
