aircraft changes can (and will) happen regularily. even prior to departure. you can take a certain aircraft for granted once you took off. everything before that is subject to change. even when it stays a 777 all the way to the departure day, a last minute equipment change can happen (and so happened to me) when the originally planned aircraft isnt available...
