BA won’t lift a “hold” on money when our tickets have been paid for

I am truly at the end of my tether with British Airways! Not only has your level of service on long haul flights gone down dramatically (to the point that I feel so very sorry for your cabin crew who must spend a lot of time apologizing to the passengers). We have booked two long haul flights - you put a hold on the total cost of these tickets with our bank - so far so good - you then take out two separate payments for the individual tickets - not a problem. However, you remain to place a 'hold' on a considerable amount of money (total cost of the two tickets) that our bank will not release back to us unless you take off the hold! We have spent hours on the phone to both our bank and BA. BA customer service have consistently lied to us - each person telling a different story and no one at all willing to help us. I am now considering charging you an hourly rate (of my time) and also interest on the money YOU are withholding! TELL ME WHO TO CALL TO SORT THIS OUT!
