For restaurants and bars in your area, if the weather cooperates I recommend strolling down 9th Avenue and veering slightly to your left as you cross over 14th St onto Hudson St, where there are numerous good dining options. (Some, such as Dante and Anton’s, may accommodate walk-ins, but you’re much better off with reservations.) When you get to Hudson St and Bleecker St, you can turn left on Bleecker and continue your walk into the heart of the Village, or you can continue straight on Hudson, which isn’t as lively as Bleecker street will become as you continue your walk, but is still plenty interesting and has good dining options (such as the aforementioned Dante and Anton’s).
