Comment: On the upside, there was no issue getting full FHR benefits at VIP check in. However the stay was incredibly average. The room experience is poor - threadbare towels, pathetic little bottles of cheap shampoo, MGM's rather lax attitude to maintenance etc. Closing Dellas midweek forcing us to use the rather ghetto SeaBreeze cafe was just about tolerable. Closing the Delano pool for a day was a step too far.
No way would I stay here again - MGM properties in general seemed overpriced, understaffed and disinterested in providing service. If I need Mandalay pool access in the future it will be Four Seasons or nothing. Otherwise it is Wynn or off-strip (GVR) all the way.
If there is a major recession as expected, Vegas price points are going to have to take a serious dive or it will become a ghost town.
