I will not hesitate go to court. The harder to pay they are, the more I will fight.
I am not in a hurry, but I will not forget.
Thank you very much.
You're most welcome.

However, I have read through the merged threads on this topic now and I, like many others, don't believe you are entitled to compensation under EU261 in this case. Firstly, although the original routing was changed, you accepted those changes in advance of travel. Your options at that point were to accept the changes or cancel the ticket for a refund. You could have also negotiated the routing of the new ticket by suggesting which flights you would prefer to travel on but LH would have been under no obligation to accept that. The second issue is that you arrived at your destination at the scheduled time. EU261 compensation is only given if the flights is more than three hours late AND the delay was beyond the airline's control. Since neither of those occurred EU261 compensation is not due. You would be better off writing a complaint and asking for a goodwill gesture, but be aware that it will probably be in the form of a few thousand M&M points. Keep your complaint to the material facts, and be aware that talk of stress and anxiety doesn't count for anything.

From LH's point of view they don't seem to have done a bad job here - they identified the problem at your original point of departure and promptly offered you a new ticket to get you to your destination at the same time/date.
